Dr. Alexander Garza was raised in San Antonio, TX. He graduated from Central Catholic High and earned a B.S. degree in Biology from St. Mary’s University. He attended Western University of Health Sciences College of Podiatric Medicine where he received his Doctorate degree.
Dr. Garza completed a three year Podiatric Surgical Residency in Houston, TX at St. Joseph Medical Center. His surgical training focused on foot and ankle deformities and pathology including:
Adult/Pediatric Flatfoot Reconstruction
Foot and Ankle Trauma
Arthroscopic/Minimally Invasive Surgery
Sports Medicine and Surgery
Elective Foot and Ankle Surgery
Diabetic Wound Care and Limb Salvage
During his undergraduate studies, Dr. Garza participated in several medical mission trips which improved his Spanish skills and solidified his interest in medicine. Recently during his residency training, he was able to return to a medical mission trip in Mexico.
Dr. Garza is a patient and caring provider who ensures all of his patients receive the best quality of care. He is enjoying his time in the Southwest and serving the Phoenix community. Outside of the office, Dr. Garza can be found spending time with his family and girlfriend. Dr. Garza enjoys hunting, fishing, skiing, scuba diving, swimming, playing tennis and reading.
